Vegetation by critical depth

I have seen several journal papers referencing iRiC Nays2DH as they can create critical water depth where vegetation will automatically grow in. However, I can only found vegetation density and height in Nays2DH.

Do anyone knows where to set this condition? Thank you so much.

Definition. Sverdrup defines the critical depth at which integrated photosynthesis equals integrated respiration. This can also be described as the depth at which the integral of net growth rate over the water column becomes zero. The net growth rate equals the gross photosynthetic rate minus loss terms. One way to define the critical depth is the depth is the depth above which depth-integrated daily gross photosynthesis equals the depth-integrated respiration, where respiration includes biomass removal by phytoplankton respiration and by grazers. When the actual water depth is below critical depth it is called supercritical because it is in a higher energy state. Likewise actual depth above critical depth is called subcritical because it is in a lower energy state.
