On October 5, 2023, an online iRIC workshop was held for the staff and students of ICHARM (International Center for Water Hazard and Risk Management Center).

During the session, particular emphasis was placed on the Distributed Runoff Inundation (RRI) model within iRIC, and practical examples of calculations were demonstrated using the actual cases of the Sorachi River and Kuma River.

The instructor for this workshop was Dr. Kazutake Asahi, one of the creators of iRIC, who was responsible for the integration of the RRI model into iRIC.
