On November 15, 2025, we exhibited iRIC at the “Disaster Prevention Festa 2025” held at the Toyohira Campus of Hokkai Gakuen University in Sapporo. This large-scale event, which also included displays by the Fire Department and the Self-Defense Forces, allowed visitors of all ages—from children to adults—to enjoyably learn about disaster preparedness through a variety of hands-on activities.

At the iRIC booth, we set up several computers so visitors could experience a flood-simulation of the Toyohira River. Families and children in particular showed great interest, becoming completely absorbed in the simulation screens, and the response was far beyond our expectations. I am truly glad that we were able to contribute, even in a small way, to raising public awareness about flood hazards.
