On December 2, 2024, an iRIC lecture was held at Sapporo Garden Palace, where I delivered a 2.5-hour presentation on the theme “15 Years of iRIC: Transformations and Soaring Toward the Future.”

The lecture focused particularly on the models I have been dedicating significant effort to recently: the Cabenet2D model for riverbed dynamics coupled with vegetation growth and decay, the new 3D model Freebird, and the material transport model Geleto.

The audience of nearly 200 attendees seemed to receive the lecture very positively, and I had the privilege of enjoying an immensely fulfilling day.
